Last updated 15 August 2026. ManuscriptFix is operated by QUVAE Research and Publications Pvt. Ltd., a company registered in India. “ManuscriptFix” is a product brand of that company, not a separate legal entity. Contact: hello@manuscriptfix.com.
ManuscriptFix takes a manuscript and a journal's Word template, clones the template, pours your content into it, and reports how closely the result matches. You get back a new file. Your original is never modified.
You keep every right in your manuscript. Uploading it grants us no ownership, no licence to publish it, no right to show it to anyone, and no right to use it to train anything. We process it solely to produce the formatted document you asked for, and we delete it afterwards as described in the privacy notice.
This matters more here than in most terms, so it is stated plainly rather than buried.
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a rejected or delayed submission. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
ManuscriptFix is young. It may change, be interrupted for maintenance, or have faults. Formatting and previewing are free and unlimited, and we will not begin charging for something you have already been given without telling you first.
Payments are live from 15 August 2026. What is free and what is paid:
Credits never expire. They are spent only when you download a Word file, and downloading the same paper again is free — you are charged once per paper, not once per download. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. Payment is taken by PayPal on PayPal's own pages; we never see or store your card details.
If your payment succeeds but your credits do not appear, do not pay again. Write to hello@manuscriptfix.com with your PayPal transaction reference. We will either add the credits or refund the purchase in full, and we aim to reply within two working days.
If the service fails to produce a usable document for a paper you spent credits on, write to us and we will refund it. We would rather return the money than argue about it. Write to hello@manuscriptfix.com with the date of the run; we aim to reply within five working days and to make any refund to the original PayPal account.
Unused credits can be refunded. If you have bought credits and not spent them, write to us within 30 days of the purchase and we will refund them to the original PayPal account. Credits already spent on a Word file you kept are not refundable under this paragraph — that is what the failure refund above is for.
Because a formatted document is delivered immediately and can be downloaded straight away, we cannot offer a cooling-off period on a run that has already produced a file you kept. That does not affect the failure refund above, and it does not affect any right you have under the consumer law of your own country.
Nothing here recurs. Buying credits is a single payment. There is no subscription, no renewal, no billing agreement and nothing to cancel — PayPal will not be authorised to take a second payment, and your credits do not expire, so there is no date by which you must spend them.
Please do not:
We may suspend access that does any of these.
Formatting and previewing are free and need no account. Downloading requires one — a free account, created with Google or a one-time email link. That free account downloads your paper as a watermarked PDF; the editable Word file costs 20 credits. We tell you this before you upload anything, and the paper is formatted first, so you can see the result and its check list before deciding whether to sign up.
There is no password to lose: sign-in is a Google redirect or a one-time link sent to your email, so keep access to that email secure. You can ask us to delete your account at any time, and deleting it removes your papers with it.
We know an unpublished manuscript is the most sensitive file a researcher owns. What we actually do with it: your file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed on our own server in an area kept separate from other runs, never sent to any other company, and never used to train any model. It is deleted automatically after seven days, or the moment you press "Delete my files now".
What we do not claim: the service has not been independently audited, and files are not encrypted at rest while they sit on the server during those seven days. We would rather tell you that than let you assume otherwise. If your institution requires audited handling of unpublished work, use the desktop version, which never sends your file anywhere at all.
If these terms change we will update the date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
