Privacy

Last updated 15 August 2026. ManuscriptFix is operated by QUVAE Research and Publications Pvt. Ltd., a company registered in India. “ManuscriptFix” is a product brand of that company, not a separate legal entity. Contact: hello@manuscriptfix.com.

The short version. Your manuscript stays on our own server, is never sent to any other company, is never used to train any model, and is deleted automatically after seven days. You can delete it sooner with one click. Everything below is detail on that.

1. Your manuscript

When you upload a manuscript and a journal template, both files are written to disk on a server we operate, the formatting is performed there by our own software, and the finished document is written back to the same place.

Your documents are not sent anywhere else. They are not uploaded to our authentication provider, not sent to our payment provider, and not passed to any external service for processing. No part of their content is used to train any machine-learning model, ours or anyone else's — the system contains no training pipeline of any kind.

How long we keep it

Your uploaded files and the formatted result are deleted automatically seven days after the job is created. This is enforced by the clock, not by usage: it applies whether the job succeeded, failed or was abandoned, and it runs on a schedule independent of anyone visiting the site.

You do not have to wait. The “Delete my files now” button on the results screen removes your uploads and the output immediately. That deletion is real — the files are erased from disk, not hidden or flagged.

2. What we store if you create an account

You can use ManuscriptFix without an account. If you sign in, we store the following through Supabase, our authentication provider:

DataWhyKept until
Email address, and your name if your sign-in provider supplies it To identify your account and show you your papers You delete the account
ORCID iD, if you choose to give one Filled into the checks we run on your paper You remove it, or delete the account
Credit balance, credits bought, and which papers you have spent credits on To know what you have paid for, and so that downloading the same paper again does not charge you twice You delete the account
A record of each formatting run: the file name, the paper's title, the date, and whether it succeeded So you can find a paper again after the file itself has expired You delete the account

The run record holds the name of the file you uploaded — for example my-thesis-draft.docx — the paper's title, the date, and whether the run succeeded. It does not hold the document's contents.

3. Payments

Payments are handled entirely by PayPal on pages PayPal hosts. Card and PayPal account details never reach our server and we never see them. Of a payment we record only the amount, the currency, the date, PayPal's own reference for it, and how many credits it bought. If you ask us to delete your account, that payment record is kept but is no longer linked to you — we are required to retain the financial record itself.

4. Logs

Our web server records ordinary access logs, which include the IP address of visitors, the pages requested and the time. These are kept for 14 days and are used for security and for diagnosing faults. Our application's own logs do not contain visitor IP addresses.

5. Who else is involved

We use as few third parties as we can, and they are:

WhoWhat they handle
Supabase (United States) Sign-in, and the account records in section 2
PayPalPayments. You pay on PayPal's own pages, so your card details never reach us — we receive only the confirmation that a payment succeeded
Google Only if you choose “Continue with Google”. Google learns that you signed in to this service.
Hostinger Operates the server our software runs on

There is no analytics service, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no third-party tracking on this site. We do not sell or share personal data, and there is nothing to opt out of because there is nothing collecting it.

Note that Supabase is hosted in the United States, so your account details — not your manuscript — are stored there.

6. Security

We say that files are encrypted in transit, and we do not claim they are encrypted at rest, because at present they are not. We would rather state that plainly than imply otherwise.

7. Your choices

Where we have taken payment, the payment record itself is kept for tax and accounting purposes, with your identity removed: the amount and date remain, you do not.

8. Contact

Questions about privacy, or any request above, to hello@manuscriptfix.com. We aim to answer within seven days.

9. Changes

If this notice changes we will update the date at the top, and material changes will be announced on the site.
