Help
What this does, and what it deliberately does not.
What happens to your paper
We open the journal’s own Word template and pour your writing
into it, so the layout is theirs rather than our imitation of it.
Your words are never changed — nothing is
rewritten, summarised or generated.
How long files are kept
Both files you upload and the formatted result are deleted
automatically after 7 days. You can delete them
sooner from the result screen. The record of the run is kept so you can
see what was done, and it carries no copy of your manuscript.
What it does not do
It does not write cover letters, convert citation styles, rewrite
references, look up DOIs, or accept LaTeX or PDF files. It formats a
.docx manuscript into a .docx
template.
Which journals it works with
Any journal that gives you a usable .docx template.
Nothing depends on us having your journal in a list — you supply
the template, so the layout is the journal’s own.
Can I undo an individual change?
Not here. You get a list of what was changed and you can preview the
result before you download, but changes cannot be reversed one at a
time inside ManuscriptFix. Your original file is never
altered, so the way back is to edit the downloaded document in
Word.
Always check the result
Open the formatted file in Word before you submit it. This is new
software and a journal’s template can do unusual things.
